The Conference GranadaEmpleo III: “Employment Opportunities and Incorporation of Women in the Construction Sector”, organized by the Provincial Council of Granada, Delegation of Employment and Sustainable Development, in collaboration with the Association of Builders and Developers of Andalusia and the Construction Labor Foundation, has analyzed in three Round Tables, the needs of labor and qualification in companies to achieve an improvement in employment in the construction sector, attracting new professionals to meet the employment needs that companies currently have, favoring the labor insertion of women in the construction sector.
The event was attended by businessmen, entrepreneurs, socio-economic agents, unemployed people, personnel from entities related to training and employment, technicians from the construction sector and students, who have been provided with basic information about the business opportunity and green jobs that can be generated with LIFE Wood For Future in the transformation of sustainable construction with wood, with the industrialization and technification of the process, using as raw material the production of poplar structural products, favoring in turn the incorporation of women in the entire economic ecosystem that the LIFE Wood for Future project involves.
Ana María Cruz, member of Life Wood for Future and from the University of Granada, participated in the conference as a speaker at Round Table 1: “Transformation of construction. New Trends: Industrialization, sustainability and technification. Opportunities for the insertion of female workers”.
The event was chaired by the General Director of Employment and Sustainable Development, the Construction Labor Foundation and the Association of Builders and Developers of Andalusia (ACCC). The event was closed by the Deputy of Employment and Sustainable Development, Ana Muñoz Arquelladas.
